Environmental sustainability

Environmental sustainability is a fundamental principle for the Milano Santa Giulia project, which sets a new quality standard for all other urban developments in Italy.
The Milano Santa Giulia district intends to encourage intelligent and sustainable growth by paying special attention to all matters of environmental importance:

mobility (smart mobility: pedestrian areas, cycle lanes, public transport, car sharing, etc.)
green spaces and attention to biodiversity
energy efficiency in buildings
reduction of water consumption (re-use of rainwater and minimising irrigation through the installation of native tree species)
sustainability of the materials used and reduction of waste through maximising recycling
safety
