The main hubs of urban areas have always been squares: places for gathering and meeting, around which a cohesive neighbourhood community is built. For this reason, the Milano Santa Giulia development will include, as well as a vast network of pedestrian routes and green spaces, six squares, located close to each other and each with its own characteristics and features.
These squares will be lively during the day and the evening with bars, restaurants, shops and informal meeting spaces, accessible via several routes and characterised by a varied programme of events, markets and shows. Each square is envisaged as a single hub of activity that is flexible and integrated with the neighbouring area.
The squares will make up a rich, pleasant urban route which will create a sense of identity and belonging for residents, and will offer a way for visitors to explore the district.
